Volkswagen Group sets a historic record at the “Best Cars 2026” awards

Volkswagen Group achieved an outstanding result at the anniversary 50th “Best Cars” awards, organized by the German automotive publication auto motor und sport.

According to the readers’ voting results, the Group won 10 out of 25 categories — the best result in its history and a new record for the awards.

In addition, Volkswagen Group models secured 28 out of 75 possible podium positions, confirming the strong market presence of the Group’s brands in Europe.

Strong performance of the brands

Overall results:

The Volkswagen brand (including its commercial vehicles division) won three categories;

Porsche became the best in two categories;

Audi achieved one victory.

In the import brand category:

Škoda became the most successful brand with three wins;

Bentley won one category.

The “Best Cars” award is considered one of the most prestigious automotive awards in Europe, as it is based on voting by real car owners and readers.
